design inspired by you
Personal projects for most designers, are I believe, inherently difficult. We come across and dream up so many ideas. When designing for a client, we use your vision which guides the “language” we use throughout the design. When designing for ourselves, it can be difficult to define that language and stick to it.
As my husband and I have been working through the design challenges of our future home (small site, big grade change, limited height, and like most projects – budget), we’ve developed a language of “raw.” Raw wood, raw concrete, raw steel.
Here are some early renderings of the entry, living room/kitchen/dining, and master bath.
